This weeks plantings!!

This week our garden club planted carrots, whiteacre beans, radishes, and lettuce! Also, we distributed mini-greenhouses to all of the students so they can start seeds indoors - eggplant, tomato, artichoke, flowers, and herbs!

Some of the plants students will take home, and some they will bring back for our spring plant sale!

Students - make sure you read the instructions on your mini-greenhouses! Remember to do the following:

1. Check your plants each day for watering, make sure they're moist to the touch, but not soaking.

2. Before they have sprouted, place them outside with the lid on in partial sun (like a porch, near your house, or under a tree).

3. After they've sprouted, prop the lid open a bit to allow air-flow.

4. As they get bigger, take off the lid completely, and put them in full sun!
